NEW YORK (AVAFIN) -- iShares MSCI Brazil Index options contracts experienced a new 90-day record for call contracts where a total of 7,691 call contracts were traded in the busy trading session. The contract spread yielded a 4.67 put/call ratio where 0.2 call contracts were traded for each put contract.

Investors use options to manage risk and to speculate on price changes. Options can provide significant leverage if the stock moves in the right direction but aslo end up worthless if it doesn't.

Shares of EWZ opened today at $56.38 and settled the day down $0.63 to $56.57 during the session. The day's trading range is between $56.10 and $56.76 respectively. Within the last week, the shares have gained 0.67% of their value. On the volume side, 19M shares were traded which is greater than the average volume of 11M shares. iShares MSCI Brazil Index is trading above the 50 day moving average and higher than the 200 day moving average. The stock's 52 week low is $48.27 and 52 week high is $70.74.
